Profit serves Purpose…
InesSense is a for-profit social enterprise – a business that makes a profit that serves social & environmental purpose.
Like any business, expenses need to be covered, along with income for the sole-proprietor. An impacts report will be posted yearly, so that patrons, supporters and donators can see directly how their financial contributions make a difference.
Like a non-profit or charitable organization, InesSense operates with an Advisory Board that helps to guide its mission and oversees the financial goals of the company.
Funding comes in many forms, and is directed to community initiatives & program sponsorship:
A portion of program fees are set aside;
Donations are received in the form of physical items (textiles, beeswax candles, equipment…), time (volunteers), and money (Donations page on website).
